The Dishwasher Water Inlet Valve allows the appliance to fill with water and
complete the cleaning cycle. If your dishwasher won’t fill properly or
overflows and leaks water on the floor, then the water valve may be restricted
or damaged, and replacing it may alleviate these issues. Note that if the
dishwasher is underfilled, it will likely exhibit poor wash performance. In
order to access the part, you’ll need to remove the lower access panel from
the dishwasher. Keep in mind that you’ll need to reuse the brass fitting from
the existing part with the new valve; use pipe joint compound to securely
attach it to the new part. Replacing this part will require basic hand tools
such as a multi-screwdriver and channel lock pliers, some disassembly of the
dishwasher, and novice repair experience. Before installing this high-quality
replacement part, remember to unplug the appliance or shut off the house
